Amazon is to open a new customer service centre in Edinburgh, creating 500 permanent and 400 temporary jobs. The new facility is supported by a £1.8 million grant from Scottish Development International to help train new staff and support the construction and fit-out of the new premises, expected to open in August 2011.

Oxfam is relocating one of its warehouse hubs from Welwyn Garden City, Herts to Milton Keynes, providing the charity with six times its current capacity. The new 40,000 square-foot premises will allow Oxfam to list 50,000 clothes and 100,000 books for sale in its online shop.

Early Learning Centre has unveiled its mobile-optimised website, built by Javelin. The site is fully integrated with ELC’s main Demandware website.
