• The Times profiles Aamir Ahmad, who learned from the failure of his first furnishings catalogue business, Ocean, how to make his current furniture business, Dwell, a success.
• Robin Lewis will be joining John Lewis as managing director of its catalogue and online division, effective 14th April. He was most recently chief operating officer of lingerie website Figleaves.
• Plumbworld, an online marketer of bathroom fixtures, has launched a spin-off website, Toolbox, selling power tools.
• Fameo Jewellery Boutique, an online jeweller, has acquired US website GemSuite.com
