Department-store chain John Lewis has announced that it will recruit up to 30 people in new roles in its IT function as part of a wider investment which will see the business take on over 50 IT specialists in 2012. The retailer will fill various roles from project managers, business analysts, systems analysts, solutions architect and developers within its IT function to work as part of a 280-strong team.
The recruitment forms part of John Lewis's investment in IT which has increased three-fold in recent years and will help support the retailer’s aim to fully integrate its multichannel customer service offering.
Successful candidates will become “partners” and part of John Lewis’s unique partnership structure, as well as receiving a host of benefits, including access to holiday and leisure facilities, education support and pension scheme.
