Seventy percent of the UK web users surveyed by Jupiter Research and technology provider Bazaarvoice deemed product ratings and reviews the most helpful tool when researching online to make a web or in-store purchase. Product comparison tools were the second most popular feature, with 57 percent rating them as helpful.
Of the 2,078 respondents worldwide who participated in a study sponsored by address management solutions provider QAS, only 46 percent said their company had a formal strategy in place to ensure the quality of their data, even though 96 percent were aware that a lack of data management could hurt revenue. In fact, they said that on average 19 percent of their budget or funding was lost as a result of poor data.
