Amazon is pulling its Royal Mail contract worth £25 million as the threat of industrial action intensifies, writes the Guardian. However, according to a later report from Reuters,
Amazon said it has not left Royal Mail altogether, but was simply
“making contingency plans” by appointing other carriers to handle some
of its deliveries.
More on the looming postal strikes: this time Boden’s Julian Granville is quoted in a story on Sky News. The Communication Workers Union is expected to announce the results of its strike ballot later today.
